OPEN ACCESS WORK PREPARATION & VOCATIONAL TRAINING
FACILITY
The Open Access Work Preparation & Vocational Training Facility
is a State Government “Skilling Queenslanders for Work” initiative,
which is
administered by the Department of Employment and
Training.
The facility seeks to deliver a range of employment related
services to people who are not eligible for targeted employment
assistance through the Job
Network, but who would benefit from access to professional career
and job search guidance as they seek to renter the
workforce.
The staff at IMPACT Make Your Mark are
committed to working collaboratively with each client to provide
access to services and resources that address individual
needs.
Services
available:
- Initial
interview
- Skills
audit to identify current skills and skill gaps
- Development of a service
and training needs analysis
- Individual
job search support consisting of;
Resume
writing
Letters
of application
Selection
criteria
Effective
interview
Canvassing
for employment
- Life
skills workshops
- Accredited
training opportunities available in the areas of business,
computing skills and retail operations
- Access to
IT facilities
- Work
experience placements
- Post
placement support
