IMPACT Make
Your Mark is a community based “not for profit"
organisation.
Its primary
aim is to provide support, assistance, training opportunities and
employment to disadvantaged and unemployed persons, including
people with a disability
Values and
principles of IMPACT Make Your Mark when assisting people with
disabilities ensure that:
- Services are client
focused and participants
including people with disabilities who seek a service have access
to a service on the basis of relative need and available
resources.
- Respect
for individuals – each person with a
disability has the opportunity to develop and maintain skills and
to participate in activities that enable him or her to achieve
valued roles in the community. The right to privacy, dignity and
confidentiality in all aspects of a participant’s life is
recognised and respected.
- Maintenance of a caring
and supportive environment is demonstrated by IMPACT
Make Your Mark's commitment to upholding the legal and human rights
of its participants and having mechanisms in place to prevent abuse
and neglect of all participants and workers.
Through all
our activities encouragement is given to each person with a
disability to develop and maintain skills and to participate in
activities that enables him or her to integrate and achieve valued
roles in the community.
Individual
needs and personal goals of each person with a disability is
considered when designing a service and the person is given the
opportunity of participating fully as possible in making decisions
about the events and activities of his or her daily life in
relation to the service he or she receives.
IMPACT Make
Your Mark objective of recruiting, maintaining and developing staff
who have empathy for the client base and who understand the trends
in the human services industry.
