What is
Get Set for Work?
If
school is NOT for you - and you are aged 15 –
17 years, we would like to help you prepare for a positive future
by –
- Making
learning fun and hands on!
- Providing
practical advice and support, to enable you to identify appropriate
pathways to your future.

Get Set for
Work provides a range of individualised learning. It is a
program designed to help you establish achievable goals and
identify training opportunities which will allow you to effectively
find employment.
Who can
join?
Get Set for
Work is open to 15 to 17 year old school leavers or young people at
risk of leaving school, who don’t have a Certificate II or above
qualification.

- Builds
your self esteem and confidence

- Prepares
you for work
- Assists
you with finding work experience
What will I
do?
Learning and Transition
Plan
- One-on-one
with each participant to identify a pathway to employment, training
or a return to school which complements their SET plan.
- Promoted
as a flexible “living” document so each participant sets goals
& regularly re-evaluates them to help build the social skills
required for work.
- Is
supported by a range of personal development activities to excite
and stimulate participants, including outdoor
activities.
- Identifies
referrals and links to support services for personal and social
issues such as housing, family and health.

Working
towards the Future
Get Set for
Work provides young people with a unique, personalised program of
learning & new opportunities to explore life and career
pathways.
Training
delivery will be flexible and focus on a range of varied activities
which engage and support young people.
