Skilling for the Bundaberg Workforce
Funded by
the Queensland Government Department of Employment & Industrial
Relations' (DEIR)
under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
This
project aims to give less competitive job seekers, including
parents and carers returning to the workforce, mature aged
(45+) and long-term unemployed (12 months+), job preparation,
training, paid work placements and support needed to increase the
participant's employment potential.
The
Skilling for the Bundaberg Workforce Project provides funding which
enables IMPACT Make Your Mark to offer 13 week paid work placements
at not-for-profit community organisations. Participants
selected for these work placements are able to experience a real
work environment and develop skills which will give them an edge in
the employment market.
IMPACT Make
Your Mark delivers a range of services under this
initiative:

Preparation (resume development, job applications, career pathway
planning, unpaid work experience)
- Accredited
Training in Business Administration, Hospitality and
Tourism.
- Paid Work
Placements.

support and development.
Aims of the
program is to:
- Prepare
unemployed job seekers for work and help them compete in the labour
market.
- Skill
young Queenslanders for a brighter future for themselves and
Queensland.
- Alleviate
