IMPACT is committed to providing an effective support system of services which meets the growing needs of our community, and in particular, directly supports people whose lives are impacted by economic adversity, suffering, misfortune or disability. • Get Set for Work (Supporting young people aged 15-19 who are not engaged in school to overcome any life issues they may be experiencing and help them connect with further education or employment). • Youth Connections (Helping young people aged 14-18 years who have disengaged from education and are not in full-time employment to overcome barriers to participation and engagement in school, further education or employment). • Positive Start Parenting(A support service aimed at young mums and/or expectant mothers aged 15-24 years with children under pre-school age who identify the need for parenting assistance and support). • Green Army (Helping job seekers prepare for employment through on-the-job training and job search assistance while participating in practical community based environmental projects throughout the Bundaberg region). • National Green Jobs Corp (National Green Jobs Corps is the Australian Government’s environmentally focused work experience and accredited training program for 17-24 year olds). • Providing Opportunities Through Day Services (Day service supporting 18-24 year olds with disability focusing on transition to independence, empowerment, opportunity, training and employment). • Post School Services (Providing support to young people over 18 years exiting education which helps them develop personal and life skills and participate in community life). • Recycling & Collections (Managed in partnership with Bundaberg Regional Council, workers with disability are supported by IMPACT staff to operate the facility. They take pride in their contribution to minimising waste and supporting a cleaner environment). • Personal Helpers & Mentors Support Service (Providing personal and mentored support for people experiencing mental illness to help link them more closely with their community and support their recovery). • Mental Health Carers Support Service (Providing long term support to families, carers, young people and children living in households with mental illness through one-on-one assistance; education; information and community access; group and individual support for young people and children). • Community Visitors Scheme (A friendship program linking volunteer visitors to isolated aged people living in aged care facilities throughout the Bundaberg region). |
