What is Get Set for Work?
Supporting young people aged 15-19 who are not engaged in school to overcome any life issues they may be experiencing and help them connect with further education or employment.
Get Set For Work is a program that has flexible support with a focus on a range of activities which help young people achieve their goals whether that is Support, Trainining or Employment.
If you’re aged 15 – 19 years and are not at school, we would like to help you prepare for a positive future by...
- Providing practical advice and support to create a pathway for you to work towards employment, training or returning to school
- Helping you set achievable short and long term goals
- Giving you one-on-one support to identify your unique needs and skills to help you achieve your goals
- Providing support to help you stay on track
- Linking you to the community for support with personal and social issues such as housing, family, health, training, work experience and employment opportunities
- Providing stimulating and fun activities to build self-esteem, confidence and communication skills through participating in sport and recreational activities like swimming, sports, team games, surfing, weight training and canoeing
