Helping job seekers prepare for employment through on-the-job training and job search assistance while participating in practical community based environmental projects throughout the Bundaberg region. Do you want to protect and enhance the environment? Become part of a Green Team... Participants are able to work on projects that make environmental improvements now and develop green skills for the future. Maintaining and improving ecological integrity and preserving habitats by protecting and enhancing parks and the natural environment throughout the Bundaberg area. Project activities will include weed control and promotion of native vegetation; walkway and track maintenance; signage installation and maintenance; painting; maintenance of parking infrastructure; rubbish removal and other activities As a participant in IMPACT’s Green Army Team the support doesn’t stop when you end the program. Job search training and career development will be an integral component of the project supporting participants to transition into employment at completion. If you are long term unemployed or an unemployed young person aged 15 - 24 years who wants to gain paid work experience, Green Army may be just what you are looking for.
