Youth Connections

Helping young people aged 14-18 years who have disengaged from education and are not in full time employment to overcome barriers to participation and engagement in school, further education or employment. Support will also be available to other young people at serious risk of disengaging from school.

We will help you make a successful transition through education and onto further education, training or work

Young people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent will work with our Indigenous Case Worker

We can help you…

  • Develop strategies to overcome barriers to participation and engagement in school, training or work
  • Make positive life choices
  • Develop great social skills
  • Get along with your family and participate in local community activities
  • Become healthier and improve your wellbeing
  • With career advice
  • Build a Plan for your future
  • With guidance and mentoring
  • Find a pathway to work through further education or training, or help you stay at school
  • Provide fun activities to help build your confidence and life skills
  • Connect to community activities and opportunities which support your Plan for your future

If you know a young person who:

  • Has left school early and isn’t working, or who is struggling to stay in school
  • Needs support and encouragement
  • Is having a few problems with other issues in their life, like family or personal problems and needs help
  • Wants to continue to study or do some training to help get work
  • Needs help to overcome barriers they may be having trying to find work
