About the job:

This is a casual job based at our Recycling & Collections facility at University Drive, Bundaberg. Shifts can vary with commencement times between 6.30am & 5pm Monday to Friday. You will be required to work Public Holidays.

The Recycling & Collections facility is a social enterprise employing workers with a disability to sort waste from Council's yellow top bins. We make a real difference to the environment and to the lives of our workers.

On a daily basis you will:

  • Load and unload trucks
  • Transfer product around the site
  • Complete product sheets on a daily basis including weights and quantities
  • Carry out inspections on the forklift
  • Perform manual tasks within the Recycling & Collections facility as required
  • Follow WH&S processes to ensure your safety and the safety of others in the workplace

About you:

To be considered for this casual role of $25 - $30 per hour, plus superannuation, you must have:

  • Significant experience as a forklift driver with a current High Risk Licence
  • Experience with Rotator Forklifts & HR Truck licence would be well considered but not essential.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills so you can accurately complete run sheets on a daily basis
  • Your own transport and a current drivers' licence 
  • A level of fitness and manual handling skills
  • A willingness to perform manual tasks and assist team mates
  • Possession of, or willingness to obtain, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Card and Blue Card (Working with Children check)
