Child & Youth program
Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYCC) provide early intervention services for children and young people with severe mental illness or at risk of developing one. Our program focuses on care coordination, prevention, and early support.
IMPACT's CYCC program provides early intervention services for those in need. We work within the primary care setting and align with the priorities of the Joint Regional Planning for Integrated Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Services.
Who is this for?
The Child and Youth Enhanced Primary Mental Health Program (CYCC) at IMPACT Community Services specialises in helping children and young people aged between 12-25 years of age who are suffering from mental illness in the Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN areas, including Bundaberg, Agnes Water and North Burnett.
Collaborative Approach
We collaborate with headspace centers, local Hospital and Health Services, and specialist mental health services to ensure integrated support across the region. Our program follows a region-wide model that meets local needs while being flexible.

Our Service Objectives
IMPACT CYCC team are focused on providing comprehensive support for children and young people facing severe mental illness or those at risk. We aim to deliver high-intensity psychological services and clinical care coordination, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary care and support.
We also work in collaboration with existing child and youth mental health services to complement their efforts. Timely access to appropriate clinical care is a priority for us, as we strive to address mental health needs promptly. By supporting improvements in mental health, well-being, and related issues, we aim to enhance the overall quality of life for young individuals in our care.
Key Features of Our Services
Outreach and Care Coordination: We actively reach out to deliver mental health services and focus on coordinating care. Our goal is to provide high-quality clinical and social support services that emphasise prevention and early intervention.
Youth-Friendly and Culturally Safe: We create services that are tailored to meet the psychological, physical, and social needs of young individuals. Our aim is to engage and provide access to care.
Referral Pathways: We promote easy-to-navigate referral pathways between clinical services and broader support services for individuals with mental illness. This includes collaboration with various organisations and programs.
Family Partnership: We recognise the importance of involving families and carers in the care and support of young individuals. We work closely with them to design and implement care plans.
